Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee has just submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for consideration and report to the Prime Minister asking to change the forest land use purpose to build solar power projects.

Accordingly, Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for consideration and report to the Prime Minister for decision on the policy of changing the purpose of using nearly 155 hectares of forest to deploy the construction of power plants. Phu My 1, Phu My 2 and Phu My 3 sun.

The project is implemented in My Thang commune and My An commune, Phu My district with a capacity of 120 MWp, a land use area of ​​123 hectares and a total project investment of more than 3,000 billion VND.

After investigating the forest in the project area, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province said that the protection forest land invested with the state budget was casuarina forest managed by the Phu My Protection Forest Management Board. an area of ​​80.42 ha.

And the protection forest land is invested by other capital investment and is using by local people with an area of ​​3.3 ha.

For the Phu My 2 solar power plant project, the People’s Committee of this province also proposed to consider and report to the Prime Minister for decision on the policy of changing the purpose of using 43.13 hectares of forest to implement the project.

Phu My 2 solar power is implemented in My Thang commune, Phu My district with a capacity of 110 MWp, an area of ​​106 hectares and a total estimated investment of VND 2,253 billion.

Currently, the protective forest land is managed by the Phu My Protection Forest Management Board and is planting casuarina with an area of ​​30.95 ha and 12.18 ha of forest land invested and using by local people.

Both of these projects have had alternative afforestation plans approved by the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee in September 2020 and are all done by the Clean Energy Development Joint Stock Company (a member of Bamboo Capital Group). investor. The total capital of both projects amounted to over 5,000 billion VND.

For the Phu My 3 solar power project, Binh Dinh also asked the central government to change the purpose of using 28.29 hectares of forest to build a solar power plant.

The Phu My 3 solar power plant project is invested by the Clean Energy Development Joint Stock Company (a member of Bamboo Capital Group), implemented in 2 communes My Thang and My An (Phu My district). .

The plant has a capacity of 100 MWp, the area of ​​land used is 94.36 hectares with a total estimated investment of more than 2,048 billion VND. The project is divided into 2 phases including: Phase 1 is implemented on an area of ​​56.84 ha; Phase 2 is implemented on an area of ​​37.52 ha.

According to the leader of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, the investment in the construction of Phu My 1, 2, 3 solar power projects with a large capacity is essential, because this is a project using renewable energy. and clean, does not emit greenhouse gases, does not cause environmental pollutants.
